Guides

Pricing breakdowns and practical explainers, written to be useful rather than long.

What these guides are for

Reviews answer “is this any good”. Guides answer the questions that sit underneath that: what a platform actually charges once the add-ons are counted, how an affiliate programme pays, and which free plan survives contact with a real list. We write them to be checked rather than skimmed, so figures are dated and attributed to the vendor page they came from. Where a number would need testing we do not have yet, we say so instead of estimating.

They are also shorter than the equivalent pages elsewhere. Most guides in this category are padded to rank, which buries the one paragraph you came for under a thousand words of definition. We lead with the answer. If a guide can be useful in six hundred words, it stays at six hundred, and the detail that only some readers need goes into a clearly labelled section they can skip.

What we are adding

The gaps are deliberate rather than hidden. A deliverability guide is waiting on our own seed-list testing, because the useful version of that page needs inbox-placement data we do not yet have, and the alternative is repeating vendor marketing. A migration guide covering list exports, consent fields and domain warm-up is drafted and being checked against a real move.

If a guide you need is missing, or a figure here no longer matches what a vendor charges, tell us. Corrections get published with a date rather than edited quietly. The rubric behind every score and recommendation is set out in how we test.
